Sometimes life is hard. If you are going through one of those hard seasons in your life right now…please know we care.
At Faith in Action we understand that sometimes life can be hard. We’ve experienced those valleys ourselves. That’s why we have programs and services to support individuals and families currently experiencing difficult circumstances. Though we aren’t not able to offer financial assistance, we can offer hope, other services and referrals to other agencies who can.
Our Programs:
- Furniture for Families
- Turning Point
- Every Person Matters
As a result of opening our store–The GREAT Room in Elk River–we are able to help families and individuals in need with furniture and household goods. We also have various medical equipment available for use. In 2011 we helped more than 200 households in our service area by providing an assortment of goods and furniture.
If you need (or know of someone who needs) furniture, please call our office at 763-263-4277. We will establish eligibility through an intake process, and work with our volunteers to set up a time to deliver items needed; there is a small fee for the delivery. We have a variety of furniture and goods available, including: beds, couches, tables and chairs, dressers and appliances, as well as housewares, of bedding and other household items. Last year, more than 100 beds were given to children, most who had never had a bed of their own.
